An Chéad Stáisiún Eile… is a multimedia installation project created by two MSc in Emerging Media students from Dublin City University, Cáit Boyce Willis and Sinéad Mooney.

This project aims to explore how users of Dublin’s Connolly Station experience it as a public place, and reflects on their personal and sensorial connections to it as a location.

The project was first installed as a QR code-activated digital sound installation in Connolly Station on July 9, 2023. It was then presented as an audiovisual room installation in Dublin City University’s Media Studio on July 13 and 14, 2023. Both the audio-only (intended for listening while inside Connolly Station) and video (designed to be experienced anywhere) instalments of the work have been uploaded to this site for archival and preservation purposes.
